Sure, I may be older than dirt, but the “kid” in me will always partake of the Snoopy Dance when the prospect of a new dinosaur movie arises. That brings me to the oddly titled The End of Oak Street, the J.J. Abrams-produced science fiction/survival film, which will debut later this year in August.
Details about The End of Oak Street are minimal at this point, though what we do know about it is reminiscent of an episode from The Twilight Zone. In the aftermath of a strange cosmic event, an entire suburban neighborhood is transported to…somewhere else. The story focuses on a particular family—mom, dad, daughter, son—as they deal with one WTF moment after another. There are trailers now available for the film, all of them quite brief, and mostly cryptic. But one scene offers a clue: as the family ponders their fate, they see neighbors tearing ass down the street outside their house, pursued by…a dinosaur! Arguably the biggest WTF moment of them all.

“What just happened?”
The End of Oak Street stars Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, two of my personal favorites. With streaming and such, I haven’t been inside an actual movie theater for years. But I may have to break that streak for this one.
You said Dinosaurs! I’ll be watching for this one!
From what I’ve learned about this film, it sounds like it will be Dinosaurs Plus!
