I hope you’re having an enjoyable holiday weekend. I am gonna take a break from writing a new article this week. But I will share this one quick story.
The potted plant pictured below—a rather large one—has been on my patio for many years, just as you see it. Recently, sunflowers began sprouting from it! My dear Jacqueline loved sunflowers, so I’d like to think that she’s sending me a message from the next plane of existence. In any case, they are quite welcome.
My daughter Lindsay, the practical one, posited this: birds spread some seeds that they had gathered elsewhere. Her dad, of course—far less pragmatic—thought that it might be seed pods floating throu
gh space, like in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I am who I am.
